Burra Rocks, WA

Showcasing Coolgardie history!

Burra Rocks Rockholes, best accesed via Nepean Rd. The outer catchment areas have been less frequented since covid and tricky to find access from regrowth since the last fire.

… a forgotten gem to visit with your 4WD, have a swim otherwise camp as facilities remain same as Caves Hill.

This is a historical water catchment area of walls and dams on the edge of the granites, reminders of the area's vibrant history during the 1920s and 30s. Theses dams were built to collect water for the steam trains that hauled timber and firewood along bush railways to the mines, boilers and powerhouses in Kalgoorlie-Boulder.

Take no glass!  and leave nothing behind!  ….only take photos!
